Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IT Doggy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Service Description

IT Doggy is an AI-powered virtual developer service designed to complement your existing development team. When you delegate a Linear issue to IT Doggy, the Service will:

  • Read the issue description and related context
  • Explore your codebase to understand existing patterns
  • Post an implementation plan for your approval
  • Implement changes following your project's conventions
  • Run tests, linting, and builds to verify correctness
  • Create pull requests on GitHub linked to the Linear issue
3. User Accounts & Authentication

You sign in to the Service using your GitHub account via OAuth, authenticated. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your GitHub account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account
4. Third-Party Integrations

The Service connects to third-party platforms on your behalf, including:

  • GitHub — to access repositories, create branches, and open pull requests
  • Linear — to read issues, post comments, and update issue statuses
  • AI model providers — to generate implementation plans and code changes

Your use of these third-party services is also subject to their respective terms and conditions. You are responsible for complying with those terms.

5. Data & Privacy

In order to provide the Service, we collect and process the following data:

  • Your GitHub username and user ID
  • GitHub App installation identifiers and associated account names
  • Linear team keys and team-to-repository mappings
  • Onboarding status and configuration preferences
  • Repository content and Linear issue content processed during task execution

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details on data handling and retention.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate or distribute malicious code, malware, or exploits
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or network
  • Circumvent or interfere with the Service's security measures
  • Abuse the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
7. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to your code, repositories, and content. IT Doggy does not claim any intellectual property rights over code generated or modified by the Service on your behalf.

AI-generated output may not be unique and similar code may be produced for other users. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any code produced by the Service before merging it into your projects.

8. Service Availability & Limitations

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Specific limitations include:

  • Individual tasks are subject to an execution timeout
  • Only one task may be processed concurrently per issue
  • Service availability depends on the uptime of third-party providers (GitHub, Linear, AI model providers)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, the Service operator and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Errors or defects in AI-generated code
  • Data loss or corruption resulting from Service actions
  • Service outages or downtime of third-party providers
  • Unauthorised access to your accounts due to compromised credentials
10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account data through the Danger Zone section on your dashboard, which will remove all team mappings and stored data.

Upon termination, you should also manually revoke the IT Doggy GitHub App and Linear App authorisations from your respective account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out to us via the contact information provided on the IT Doggy portal.
